Mathew Reis is a student photographer at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is a candidate for a BA in Political Science and MA in Public Policy ('29, '30).
Statement
My photography is rooted in observation. I am interested in the moments that we walk by everyday, and often don't notice: a passing expression, the isolated figure, the geometry of a city, or a brief interaction that might otherwise go unnoticed.
I tend to shoot on a Sony A7R II, and lately have been experimenting with some film. I am from Long Island, New York, but now go to school full time in Washington, D.C.
